The ‘Minnie’ is of a matching set with ‘Mickey’ and ‘Minnie’ by Damien Hirst. Created in 2016 as part of a limited edition series. Damien Hirst’s ‘Minnie’ is a playful reimagining of the beloved Disney character, “Minnie Mouse”, however the classic cartoon character is reduced to circular forms, continuing the tradition of the artist’s famed spot paintings and giving the signature keepsake a fresh contemporary flair. ‘Minnie’ mouse is set against a saturated fuchsia pink glitter background adding to the idyllic sparkle of the beloved character. For Hirst, the decision to represent Minnie in playful spots was natural as both the form and the subject remind him of his childhood. Nostalgic, shimmering and fun this print is an increasingly rare edition of 150. Signed and numbered by the artist on verso. The framed dimensions measure: 38.5 x 31.5 in. / 97.8 x 80 cm.
